Clear aligners are the most popular alternative to braces, and for good reason.
They’re an easy way to straighten your teeth without having to wear a mouthful of metal.
You can eat whatever you want, and you can even take them out for special occasions.
We offer Invisalign and 32co clear aligners.
They’re a series of clear plastic aligners to gradually move your teeth into the desired position.
You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks, before moving onto the next one.
Each aligner is slightly different from the last, so that your teeth are always moving.
The aligners are made from a special type of plastic that’s completely transparent, so they’re practically invisible.
Clear aligners takes about the same amount of time as braces do.
The average treatment time is 12 months, but it can be as little as 6 months or as much as 18 months.
It all depends on how much your teeth need to move.
You’ll need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day.
That means you can take them out for up to 2 hours per day, but you’ll need to wear them while you sleep.
You can eat whatever you want, and you can even take them out for special occasions.
But the rule of thumb is: the more you wear your aligners, the faster your treatment will be.
Just remember to brush your teeth before putting your aligners back in, so that you don’t trap any food particles against your teeth.
Clear aligners costs about the same as braces do.
The exact cost of your treatment will depend on how much your teeth need to move.

Clear aligners are not available on the NHS.
That’s because the NHS only provides braces for people under the age of 18, and only if their teeth are causing them serious problems.
If you’re over the age of 18, then you’ll have to pay for your own orthodontic treatment.
If you want to get clear aligners, then you’ll need to book a consultation with us.
We’ll be able to tell you if you’re eligible for clear aligners, and how much your treatment will cost.
If you decide to go ahead with clear aligners, then we’ll take some impressions of your teeth, and send them off to Invisalign or 32co (depending on which you choose to go with) to have your aligners made. Don’t worry, we’ll explain to you the difference between Invisalign and 32co at your appointment.
You’ll then come back to the dentist to have your aligners fitted, and you’ll be given a series of aligners to take home with you.
You’ll need to come back every 6-8 weeks to have your progress checked, and to pick up your next series of aligners.
After that, you’ll be able to continue your treatment at home, and you’ll only need to come back for us to check in on your progress every 3 months or so.
Once your treatment is complete, you’ll need to wear a retainer to stop your teeth from moving back, which is either Invisalign’s Vivera retainers (which cost £450), or a fixed retainer that’s a subtle metal wire behind your 6 front teeth to keep them in place.
We will tell you how long you’ll need to wear your retainer for, but most people wear them for about a year before switching to only wearing them at night.
